Iraqi forces repel attack on central Ramadi, kill 15 ISIS elements

(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, a security source informed IraqiNews that a force from the Golden Division has managed to repel an ISIS attack on central Ramadi and killed 15 elements of the ISIS group.

Abdul-Amir al-Khazraji, a key aide to the commander of the Golden Division within the Iraqi Armed Forces has told IraqiNews, “A force from the Golden Division has managed to repel an attack by the ISIS group militants on central Ramadi,” adding that, “The clashes between the two sides resulted in killing 15 ISIS elements and injuring 5 others.”

Noteworthy, al-Anbar province is constantly witnessing heavy clashes between Iraqi forces backed by volunteer fighters and the ISIS group militants, who have seized large expanses of territories in the province.
