Iraqi PM dismisses commander of border patrol and director of internal affairs

(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, Haider Abadi decided to put the commander of the Border Patrol, Lt. Gen. Hussein al-Awadi and the director of Internal Affairs, Hassan Kocaz to retirement.

An informed source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Abadi decided to put the director of Internal Affairs, Hassan Koczz to retirement,” adding that “al-Abadi also decided to exempt the Commander of Border Patrol, Lt. Gen. Hussein al-Awadi, and put him to retirement.”

Noteworthy, the spokesman for the Prime Minister’s office, Rafid Jabouri said in an interview for IraqiNews.com that the commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi ordered to exempt 24 officials and appoint of new leaders in their positions, in a step to reform the security system and increase its effectiveness.
