Iraqi police arrest high-ranking officer for alliance with ISIS

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, the Iraqi Federal Judicial Authority in Baghdad, announced the detention of a high-ranking officer in the Army after accused him of alliance with the ISIS group.

The Iraqi Federal Judicial Authority spokesman, Abdul-Sattar Birqader informed IraqiNews, “Iraqi police and sources of intelligence have arrested a high-ranking officer in the Army, accusing him of alliance with the ISIS group. The detained high officer has been passing information of the Army movements to the ISIS elements.”

He added, “Police arrested the officer in Baghdad and an investigation will be conducted in the Iraqi Federal Court.”
