Iraqi police repel ISIS attack on al-Walid border

Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, a security source in Anbar province said, that the border police repelled an attack by ISIS militants on al-Walid area along the Iraqi-Syrian border in western Ramadi.

The source informed IraqiNews, “al-Walid Border Police has repelled an attack by ISIS militants advancing from Syria on the border area of al-Walid, locatd 350 km west of Ramadi,” adding that, “The clashes resulted in killing dozens of ISIS militants, while the police had lost 4 elements in addition to 10 others who have been hurt in the fight.”
