Iraqi president meets prime minister on government platform

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi President Barham Salih held on Tuesday a meeting with Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi to discuss the situation in Iraq and measures to implement the government platform.

According to the Iraqi presidency, the meeting, which was held at As Salam palace in Baghdad, dealt with the latest regional and international developments and the situation in Iraq.

“They stressed the need for supporting the government’s platform at the political and social levels to improve the services provided for citizens,” Almaalomah news website quoted the presidency as saying.

They called on Iraqi parties to close ranks and promote the culture of constructive dialogue among them.
