Iraqi Scholars Group’s member survives assassination attempt

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Scholars Group announced attacking the Director of its office in Nineveh province.

The Scholars Group mentioned in statement to IraqiNews.com on Saturday that ”Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed al-Mula was injured due to an assassination attempt he suffered when an Adhesive Explosive Device, attached to his vehicle, exploded,” noting that “Al-Mula was transported to a hospital in Mosul for treatment from his serious injuries.”

The statement called the Iraqi Government to “provide the protection to offices and the employees of the Iraqi Scholars Group in Baghdad and other provinces,” stressing that ”The scholars group confirmed that it will continue its work in the same integrity which used to practice in the service of the country.”

The Iraqi Scholars Group which headed by Khaled al-Mula the member of the Iraqi National Alliance and the advisor of the Vice President Khudair Khuzaie.

Al-Mula won an award for International Peace in 12/July/ 2012 in London to honor his great personality in respecting all kind of religions in Iraq and the Middle East.
