(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Official journalists with the Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday, that the security forces liberated al-Safiriya area west of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad) and raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings, while affirmed the detonation of three booby-trapped vehicles during the operation.

The journalists said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The Anti-Terrorism forces liberated al-Safiriya area and raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings,” pointing out that, “Three booby-trapped vehicles were detonated during the operation.”

The statement added, “The Anti-Terrorism forces are advancing towards the area of Albu Tiban west of Anbar.”
