Iraqi security forces and the Volunteer Fighters kill 40 ISIS elements north of Tikrit

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Thursday the killing of more than 40 elements belonging to ISIS at the hands of the security forces and al-Hashed al-Shaabi militia north of Tikrit.

The ministry said in a statement posted on its website today and received by IraqiNews.com, “the security forces backed by al-Hashed al-Shaabi militia managed to kill more than 40 ISIS components in a military operation in the north of Tikrit.”

The ministry added that, “the operation resulted in the burning of four wheels and an armored bulldozer carrying heavy weapons.”
