(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – On Wednesday, a local source in Kirkuk province revealed, that ISIS has appointed a new legitimate Mufti for the areas of southwest of Kirkuk.

The source informed IraqiNews.com, “ISIS has appointed a new legitimate Mufti for the so-called al-Mahkama al-Shareiyah in the district of al-Hawija,” pointing out that, “The new ISIS Mufti is from the province of Sulaymaniya; His name is Abu Harun and he is from the Kurds.”

“The former Mufti for the areas of southwest of Kirkuk, known as Shawan, had been detained by ISIS militants and transferred to Nineveh under accusation of betrayal,” the source added.
