(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – A security source in Salahuddin announced on Sunday, that ISIS has burned some oil depots in Baiji north of Tikrit, emphasizing that black smoke has covered the sky in the province, while pointed to the outbreak of violent clashes between the terrorist organization elements and the Iraqi joint forces.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “This morning, ISIS burned some oil depots in Baiji (40 km north of Tikrit), causing thick clouds of black smoke in the sky.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “Violent clashes broke out between ISIS elements and the joint forces deployed in the region.”
