 ISIS claims responsibility for Sheraton and Babylon bombings in central Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad- The organization of the Islamic state in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the bombings of the Sheraton hotel and Babylon hotel in the center of the capital Baghdad, explaining that a suicide bomber left a car near one of the two hotels and drove another car to the other hotel.

ISIS organization said in a statement reported by “Reuters”, “The suicide bomber named Abu Qutaiba parked a car outside the Ishtar Hotel late on Thursday in central Baghdad before driving another car filled with explosives (230 kilograms) into the close-by Babylon hotel.”

Baghdad has seen the explosion of two car bombs on Thursday night, one at the Babylon Hotel garage, and the other at Ishtar Sheraton Hotel garage in central Baghdad, while Iraqi police source said that the outcome of the blasts reached 11 dead and 28 wounded.
