(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Security forces on Friday fully liberated Baghdadi Island from ISIS control.

Military Media  in a statement said, “Al-Jazeera Operations Command liberated Baghdadi Island in Anbar province from ISIS control, causing the outfit heavy losses”.

“The 7th division, 27th brigade and the 2nd brigade of the Iraqi army ,as well as al-Hashed al-Shaabi units from Haditha and al-Baghdadi  participated in these operations. They fought a quick and unique battle with large support from Iraq Air Force, Army Aviation and the international coalition,” the statement added.

It may be mentioned here that the security forces yesterday completely liberated Sharqat district, north of Salahuddin province, and raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings.
