(IraqiNews.com) A local source in Nineveh province announced Thursday, that the ISIS organization issued orders to use landline phones instead of mobile phones for fear of intelligence picking up information about the organization outside the province, adding that the ISIS militants cut off the fingers of four civilians because of their use of cellphones, while explained that organization threatened to cut off their hands.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The so-called Wali of Nineveh held a meeting with employees of the communication department in the province and asked them to re-install landlines instead,” noting that, “Landline phones returned to service by 50% in the whole province, while there are some materials that need maintenance to operated.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The purpose of re-installing landlines is to curb the people’s anger after cellphones and contacts between the people of Nineveh and other provinces were banned.
