(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – According to a local source in the province of Kirkuk, ISIS has kidnapped 20 civilians on Sunday under the pretext of cooperation with the Iraqi government.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “ISIS militants surrounded this morning the villages of Tel Ali and al-shawook in Hawija district (55 km southwest of Kirkuk), and abducted 20 civilians; they took them to an unknown destination,” noting that, “The militants claimed that the reason for the kidnapping is the cooperation of the people of the two villages with the Iraqi government. ”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “ISIS transferred the detainees to Hawija prisons to bring them to the so-called Sharia court and punish them,” expecting “to face the death penalty.”
