ISIS militants blow up main bridge between Baiji and Tikrit

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – A security source in Salahuddin province has revealed on Sunday, that the ISIS organization blew up the bridge which links between Baiji District and Tikrit City to prevent the advance of the security forces in the district.
The source, who requested anonymity, informed IraqiNews.com, “The ISIS organization, this afternoon, bombed the main bridge which links between Baiji and Tikrit by planting quantities of explosives under the bridge,” noting that, “This resulted in the fall of parts of the bridge.” .
The source also added, “The organization aims through the bombing of the bridge to prevent the advance of the security forces and cut any military supplies for the area of Baiji.”
