ISIS militants kidnap 25 tribal sheikhs in south of Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a local source in Nineveh province said, that the ISIS group militants kidnapped 25 people from the sheikhs and elders of the clans in south of Mosul.

The source told IraqiNews, “Elements of the ISIS group have abducted 25 sheikhs from the clans of Albu Hamd, al-Lahib and al-Hadiden in the areas of Hamam al-Alil and al-Shura, located in southern Mosul,” pointing out that, “The group has accused the sheikhs of alliance with the Iraqi Volunteer Forces (better known as al-Hashed al-Sha’bi).”
