ISIS military commander for Heet killed west of Anbar

( Anbar – On Saturday, Jazeera Operations Command announced killing the ISIS military commander in Heet District, along with seven of his aides, during a security operation west of Anbar.

Commander of Jazeera Operations Major General Qassim al-Mohamadi said in a statement, a copy of which was received by Iraqi News, “This morning, a joint security force, based on intelligence information, managed to hunt down four (4) boats along the Euphrates River in al-Bakr neighborhood in Heet District, carrying the ISIS military officer in the district and seven of its aides,” pointing out that, “The [security] force attacked the boats with medium and heavy weapons, killing all of them.”

Mohamadi added, “The information indicated that the ISIS members are planning to flee from the vicinity of Heet, Rawah and al-Qaim west of Anbar towards Syria.”
