ISIS seized advanced anti-aircraft systems, destroyed 2 fighter jets

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday a security source said that the ISIS group has received advanced air-defense systems which include Strela missiles with thermal anti-aircraft equipment.

The source informed IraqiNews.com that security agencies received information that ISIS militants in Salahuddin and al-Anbar provinces have recently received modern and advanced air-defense systems with Strela thermal anti-aircraft missiles.

“ISIS destroyed two fighter jets In Baiji, 40 km north of Tikrit during the current week.” He said.
