ISIS threatens to blow up Egyptian pyramids

(IraqiNews.com)- British newspaper ‘Daily Mail’ reported on Wednesday that ISIS has threatened to blow up the over a 1000-year-old Egyptian pyramids- which stand as a symbol of human marvels. This threat, according to the newspaper, was issued by the ISIS while detonating Iraq’s one of the most ancient temples.

According to the ‘Daily Mail’, in a video footage released by the ISIS showed its members destroying Namrod’s ancient temple Nabo- which dates back to over 2500 years.

The video did not specify the timing of the demolition of the temple but it showed photographs of the temple’s wreckage, including symbols and archaeological inscriptions before being blown up.

One of the ISIS members nicknamed ‘Abu Nasser al-Ansari’ appeared in the video and threatened to destroy and demolish all the ancient temples including the history-laden Egyptian pyramids.

It may be mentioned here that the pyramids stand as a symbols of human marvel and are regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. If these pyramids are destroyed then it will be a great loss not just to the country but also to the entire human civilization as a whole.
