Joint force kills 4 suicide bombers in northern Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that the Iraqi security forces have managed to kill 4 suicide bombers in the area of al-Qadesiya, located in northern Tikrit.
The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “A joint force, consisting of army troops and local police elements, with support from al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia fighters have managed to kill 4 suicide bombers who had worn explosive belts in an attempt to target gathering sites for the security forces in the neighborhood of al-Qadesiyah, located in northern Tikrit.”
“The terrorists are being trapped inside Tikrit, while the security forces advance into the city,” the source added.
