(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Monday, Fallujah District Council in Anbar Province announced, that the joint security forces began the liberation operation of the center of Fallujah (62 km west of Baghdad) from the control of the so-called ISIS from three axes.

The Fallujah District Council spokesman, Salam Ajami, said in a press statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “This morning the joint security forces from the army, police, and al-Hashed al-Shaabi began the liberation operation of the center of Fallujah from Nuaimiya area in the southern axis, al-Sijar area in the northern axis and al-Karma District in the eastern axis.”

Ajami added, “The joint security forces are advancing significantly in the liberation operations backed by the military troops coming from the southern axis of Amiriyah vicinity in southern Fallujah.”
