Nineveh – (IraqiNews.com) We Are Coming, Nineveh Operations Command announced on Wednesday liberating the village of Qarah Tapah, northwest of al-Zab area, and raising the Iraqi flag over its buildings.

Commander of Operations, Major General Abdel Amir Rasheed Yarallah, said in a press statement, “Troops of the army’s 9th Armored Brigade and Commando regiment of the 15th brigade liberated, today, the village of Qarah Tapah, northwest of al-Zab area.”

“These forces raised the Iraqi flag over the buildings of the village after inflicting heavy material and human losses on the enemy,” Yarallah added.

Joint security forces, backed by Army Aviation and international coalition troops, continue exercising efforts to liberate the city of Mosul from the ISIS grip, within the offensive that was launched in 17 October 2016 by General Commander of armed Forces Haider al-Abadi.
