(IraqiNews.com) Salahaddin – Two villages in northern Tikrit were liberated by the anti-terrorism troops from ISIS control on Saturday and the forces have reached the outskirts of al-Sharaqat district towards north of the city. This was shared by the media officials of the Ministry of Defense.

Sharing details about the event, the officials issuing a statement to the press, said, “Anti-terrorism troops and Army’s 9th brigade today jointly liberated Albu Omeira and al-Ain al-Baida villages in northern Baiji-40 km north of Tikrit.”

“The security forces have now reached the outskirts of the intersection of al-Sharqat district,” further added the statement.
