Jubouri condemns Karrada bombing in Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Sunday the Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri condemned the bombings at Karrada, killing scores apart from wounding dozens of people. He called upon the security authorities to take caution in the capital city of Baghdad.

Jubouri said in a statement said, “We condemn the cowardly criminal bombings targeting Karrada, which killed and wounded innocent civilians and damaged public and private property, most vehemently.”

Jubouri called on the security authorities to ‘take caution and not give a chance for terrorism to take advantage of the country’s conditions, which is fighting a war against ISIS.’ He urged all sides to ‘stand united against all that threats against the security and stability of the country.’

Earlier today, a bomb blast took place in the area of Karada in central Baghdad, resulting in dozens of dead and wounded a lot of civilians.
