‘K9′ dogs to replace security guards in Baghdad, says official

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The security committee of Baghdad Provincial Council said Monday, that the new batch of ‘K9′ dogs, which it has received, will be an alternative to its personnel in the security checkpoints.

Member of the committee Mohammed al-Rubai’i stated, “The bomb blasts which hit different neighborhoods in Baghdad prove that some security challenges are taking place,” pointing out that, “The ‘K9’ dogs will be an alternative to security elements at some posts even though the number of dogs will not be enough to cover all of the checkpoints in the city.”
