Khalis bombing north of Baquba kills 12 & injures 25

( BAGHDAD – A government source in Diyala province announced on Monday at least 12 people were killed and 25 others injured after a bomb blast in Khalis, 15 kilometers north of Baquba.

Sharing details the source said, “The total toll of the suicide car bomb attack at the eastern entrance of Khalis is 37 with 12 dead and 25 injuries including mainly women and children.”

Seeking anonymity the source said, “The explosion destroyed 12 cars. After the blast, forces rushed to the area and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital and the dead to the forensic department.”
