(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – On Tuesday, a Kurdish fighter within the paramilitary Peshmerga force had been killed by a sniper belonging to the ISIS organization, according to a security source in Kirkuk province.

The source, who requested anonymity, informed IraqiNews.com, “An element of the Peshmerga forces was killed, on Thursday evening, by a sniper belonging to the ISIS organization in the village of al-Aziriyah in Daquq District south of Kirkuk,” adding that, “A force from the Peshmerga responded to the attack by intensive shelling, while transferred the dead body to the forensic medicine authority.”
