Kurdish Peshmerga forces liberate Zamar, reach Sinjar Mountains in western Mosul, says Kurdish official

Kurdistan (IraqiNews.com) The Chancellor of the Kurdistan Region Security Council, Masrour Al-Barzani said Thursday, that the Kurdish Peshmerga forces arrived in the Sinjar Mountains after liberating Zamar from ISIS militants.

Al-barzani said in a press conference attended by IraqiNews, “Today the Peshmerga forces have achieved great progress by reaching to the Sinjar Mountains in western Mosul, and liberating the whole area of Zamar from ISIS.”

Noteworthy, Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) announced yesterday, that the Kurdish Peshmerga forces liberated seven villages in Zamar district after killing roughly 60 ISIS militants during fierce clashes.
