(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – Mayor of Tuz Khurmatu Shalal Abdul said on Saturday, that 5 people had been killed and 15 others were injured in a bomb blast in the center of the district.

Abdul said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This afternoon, a booby-trapped vehicle exploded targeting a security post at the entrance of a market in Tuz Khurmatu District (90 km east of Tikrit), resulting in killing five people and wounding at least 15 others.”

“The security forces cordoned off the area of the incident, while ambulances rushed to transfer the injured to a near hospital and the dead to the forensic medicine authority,” Abdul added.
