Security forces start liberation operation of Rutba District from 3 axes

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Monday the administration of Rutba District in Anbar Province announced, that the security forces started the liberation operation of Rutba District west of Anbar from the control of the so-called ISIS, while pointed out that the operation was launched from three axes.

The Mayor of Rutba District Imad Meshaal al-Dulaimi said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “This morning the joint security forces from the army, police and tribal fighters launched a military operation to cleanse Rutba District (460 km west of Ramadi) from the control of the so-called ISIS,” noting that, “The operation was launched from three axes.”

Dulaimi added, “We will announce the areas that will be cleansed in Rutba District in the next few hours,” indicating that, “The security forces are advancing, while ISIS members are collapsing.”
