(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Sunday, a source within Baghdad Police Command said, that 14 soldiers were wounded in a mortar shell fall followed by a militant attack in west of Baghdad.

The source informed IraqiNews.com, “Two mortar shells had fallen on a military headquarters in the area of al-Zaidan in the district of Abu Gharib in west of Baghdad,” adding that, “The mortar shell fall was followed by a militant attack on the headquarters, resulting in injuring 14 soldiers.”

“The security forces have shortly cordoned off the area and transferred the injured to a near hospital for medical treatment,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added.
