More blasts rock Baghdad; 4 wounded

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Four civilians on Monday were injured when an explosive charge went off in eastern Baghdad, the fifth to go off in the capital today amidst celebrations commemorating the Ashuraa Day, according to a security source. “Today, an explosive charge went off near a gas station in Falasteen Street, eastern Baghdad, wounding four persons,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Earlier today, a roadside explosive device detonated in al-Nidal Street, downtown Baghdad, injuring four civilians. A roadside improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unknown men near al-Shaab playground in Baghdad’s Zayouna area went off, killing one civilian and wounding six others. Meanwhile, eight persons were wounded when two roadside IEDs detonated near Rasheed Camp in the area between Uqba Bin Nafie Square and al-Mashn commercial mall, southeastern Baghdad. SS (P) 1
