Mosque’s Imam assassinated in Mosul

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Imam of a mosque was killed due to an armed attack in eastern Mosul.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting the Imam of Muamnen Mosque, while he was heading towards his house in Quds neighborhood of eastern Mosul city, killing him immediately on Wednesday afternoon.”

The source added “The security forces cordoned the incident site, transporting the dead body and started an investigation to figure out the circumstances of the incident.” \
