 Nineveh Operations forces liberate 8 villages in Qayyarah

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – The commander of Nineveh Liberation Operations Maj. Gen. Najm al-Din al-Jubouri announced on Thursday the liberation of eight villages in the vicinity of Qayyarah south of Mosul, while emphasized that the military operations were conducted based on an accurate plan.

Jubouri said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The Iraqi Army and tribal fighters managed to liberate eight villages in the vicinity of Qayyarah south of Mosul, during the ongoing military operations in Makhmur.”

Jubouri added, “The liberated villages are al-Matantar, Tel Chair, Karamradi, Nasral, al-Khatab, Kodella, al-Salahiya and al-Ndra,” pointing out that, “The military operations were conducted based on an accurate plan to liberate the city of Mosul.”

Earlier today, a security source announced, that the joint security forces crossed from Makhmour District to Qayyarah south of Mosul using floating bridge on Tigris River, while emphasized that the artillery of the US Marines shelled ISIS headquarters near Qayyarah.
