Obama: We will continue air strikes in Iraq to protect Americans and American installations

(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, US President Barack Obama indicated that the air strikes will continue in Iraq to protect Americans and American establishments, while noting that the situation in Iraq is still deteriorated because of the organization of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, ISIL.

Obama said, in a televised statement followed by IraqiNews.com, that “American air strikes will continue in Iraq to protect Americans and American establishments,” pointing out that “Washington won the support of its partners.”

Obama considered that “the situation in Iraq is still so bad due to the organization of ISIL,” stressing at the same time “the need to form an inclusive government that is going in the right direction.”

On Thursday, the American Embassy in Iraq announced the delivery of 15 million pieces of ammunition to Iraq while confirming that 12 Iraqi pilots were in America completing their training on F-16 fighter jets, praising the military cooperation between Erbil and Baghdad to fight the organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant.
