(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday, that 96 people were either killed or wounded in the double bombings that targeted a popular market in Sadr City in eastern Baghdad.

The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The double bombing that targeted Maridi market in Sadr City eastern Baghdad this afternoon left 25 dead and 71 wounded.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The injured are still receiving treatment in the capital’s hospitals.”
