 Peace Brigades announces liberating Layin area west of Samarra,

(IraqiNews.com) The Peace Brigades militia announced on Sunday the liberation of al-Layin area in a tactical operation west of Samarra, while pointed out to the killing of 30 ISIS militants during the operation.

The leader within the Peace Brigades, Safaa al-Tamimi, stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The Peace Brigades forces managed to free the area of al-Layin which extends 62 km in western Samarra (40 km south of Tikrit),” explaining that, “The area was fully liberated by a tactical operation.”

Tamimi added, “The forces have killed more than 30 militants from ISIS.”
