Peshmerga fighter killed by sniper fire near Kirkuk

Kirkuk – ( A fighter of Kurdish Peshmerga was killed by a sniper fire, south of Kirkuk, Alsumaria News reported on Tuesday.

Alsumaria News stated, “A sniper shot a Peshmerga fighter in a village in Daquq axis (30 km south of Kirkuk), killing him immediately.”

“Security forces evacuated the body to the forensic medicine department and opened an investigation into the incident,” the media outlet added.

Kirkuk province is witnessing continuous violent acts against security forces and civilians, and currently controlled by Iraqi police and Kurdish Peshmerga forces, following the recent developments in the city of Mosul and Salahuddin province.
