(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – On Tuesday, a local source in Diyala announced, that a Peshmerga force liberated three abducted civilians in north eastern Baquba.

The source said in a press statement, “Today, a Peshmerga force has carried out an operation in Tulqana area in Khanaqin District (105 km in north eastern Baquba) and managed to liberate three civilians who were kidnapped by an armed gang two days ago,” adding that, “The search for the gang is still ongoing and the freed civilians were transferred to a security center.”

Noteworthy, three Peshmerga personnel were killed and three others were wounded in a bomb blast in Tulqana area yesterday during the search operation for the abducted civilians.
