Peshmerga forces kill 15 ISIS militants in Baashiqa Mount in eastern Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Dohuk – Media official of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ghias Surja, announced on Tuesday, that the Peshmerga forces have foiled ISIS attack on Baashiqa Mount, confirming that 15 ISIS militants were killed.

Surja said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “today, Peshmerga forces have rebelled ISIS attack on Baashiqa Mount in eastern Mosul,” noting that, “The clashes resulted in killing 15 militants of the organization and injuring many others, as well as the destruction of a number of their vehicles.”

Surja added that “International coalition supported the Peshmerga forces in defeating the ISIS attack,” stressing at the same time, “the martyrdom of one element of Peshmerga “.

It is noteworthy that the Peshmerga forces regained control of large areas in the region of Kurdistan, while other areas are still under the control of the ISIS organization .
