Peshmerga forces kill 8 ISIS militants, repel attack eastern Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a Kurdish official announced, that the paramilitary Kurdish Peshmerga forces have managed to kill 8 ISIS militants and repel a violent attack on eastern Mosul.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party spokesman in Mosul, Saeed Mumozini, stated to IraqiNews, “This morning, Kurdish Peshmerga forces have managed to repel an ISIS attack on the area of Ba’shiqah, located 20 km eastern Mosul,” noting that, “The clashes between the two sides resulted in killing 8 ISIS elements.”

For his part, a military source said, “The Peshmerga forces repelled two attacks by the ISIS group on the areas of Makhmour and Zamar.”
