(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – According to a local source in Nineveh province, a joint security force liberated two villages and killed a large number of ISIS elements east of the province, while noted that the organization burned an oil well in the region.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A force from al-Kwir and al-Kiyara clans in Nineveh, supported by Peshmerga and the international coalition, has been able today to geina control over the villages of al-Msentr and Doizzat east of Nineveh,” noting that, “The force had killed dozens of ISIS militants, in addition to cleansing the two villages.”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “Before its withdrawal from the region, ISIS burned an oil well for the purpose of influencing the visibility of the international coalition aviation.”
