Peshmerga: We will participate in the liberation of Mosul to root out ISIS

(IraqiNews.com) Erbil – The Secretary General of the Ministry of Peshmerga Jabbar Yawar announced on Wednesday, that the Kurdistan region has taken a decision of the participation of the Peshmerga forces in the liberation. of Mosul, noting that the decision to participate came to destroy and root out ISIS.

Yawar said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “the highest authority in the Kurdistan region made a decision of the participation of the Peshmerga forces in the liberation of Mosul,” noting at the same time that “the decision of the participation of Peshmerga in the liberation came because Mosul is the main stronghold of the organization (ISIS)”.

Yawar added that “the access to this stronghold and its destruction will be the end of this terrorist organization,” adding that “Joint Operations Room has been formed in Erbil; it includes officers from the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army as well as the coalition forces to coordinate on the liberalization process of Mosul.”
