Photojournalist injured while covering ongoing fight in Tikrit

(IraqiNews.com) According to a security source in Salahuddin province, a photojournalist was wounded while covering the ongoing battle in the city of Tikrit.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The photojournalist of Euphrates channel Ali Rashid was wounded while covering the ongoing battle in the city of Tikrit.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The photojournalist was taken to a nearby hospital.”

The military operations are still ongoing to hunt down ISIS members and liberate the remaining areas of the province amid progress of the security forces and the Volunteer Fighters.
