Sinjar (BasNews) Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has set up a checkpoint between Khanasor compound and Sinune district near the town of Sinjar, where they investigate the civilians passing through the area, said an official.

In a statement to BasNews on Monday, Sinune administrator Naif Saido, said that people traveling from Sinune to Khanasor have to pass through the PKK checkpoint and get investigated.

He added that as the road between Khanasor and Kars also leads to the same checkpoint, many people taking this route also face difficulties.

Saido pointed the finger at the PKK guerrillas, saying they have created such a chaos in Sinjar and its surroundings which intimidates the IDPs to resettle in their homes.
