(IraqiNews.com) The Polish government announced yesterday, that it had decided to send four F-16 aircraft and about 200 troops to Iraq and Kuwait to participate in the fight against ISIS.

Head of the National Security Council, Paweł Soloch, said in a press statement followed by Iraqi News, “The Polish government wants to send 150 soldiers and a number of military officials to Kuwait, and 60 element of [its] Special Forces to Iraq,” asserting that, “The head of state’s approval on the decision is ensured.”

In a related context, Polish Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz announced also in Brussels, that he “hopes four F-16 aircraft of the Polish Air Force will arrive in the NATO bases in the Middle East before the NATO summit in Warsaw”

Noteworthy, Poland took part in a large international coalitions to keep the peace in Iraq and Afghanistan since it had jointed the NATO in 1999.
