Police release TV reporter in Tal Afar

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces released a TV reporter in Tal Afar who was arrested since the mid of last month, a security source from Ninewa province said on Wednesday. “Ghanim al-Qasab was released today,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that al-Qasab was arrested because law prohibits that a security element also works as a journalist. “Al-Qasab was not arrested for terror cases,” the source said. “He was arrested for being both a security element and journalist.” Tal Afar suburb lies 60 km west of Mosul, which is the capital city of Ninewa province, and lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
