President Barzani frees 23 prisoners in Kurdistan on Lesser Bairam

ARBIL / Aswat a-Iraq: President of Iraq’s Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani issued a decision to free 23 prisoners from the region’s jails on the occasion of Lesser Bairam ( Eidul al-Fitr) , according to a presidential statement. “Barzani issued a decision to pardon 23 prisoners in Kurdistan on Eidul al-Fitr ,” said the statement quoting Spokesman for Barzani, Fouad Hussein. “The decision came to give them a second chance to benefit their society and to celebrate the Eid with their families and friends,” he added.
