Saraya al-Jihad forces destroy ISIS convoy near Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Saraya al-Jihad announced on Tuesday that its forces managed to destroy a convoy belonging to the Islamic State extremist group, in western Mosul.

Saraya al-Jihad said in a brief statement, “Our forces managed to repulse the attack of a convoy of eight vehicles belonging to the Islamic State terrorist group in Halawa area, near Tel Afar,” pointing out that, “The convoy was hit using Jihad-3 rockets and destructed completely,” the statement added.

Joint security forces backed by Army Aviation and international coalition forces continue exercising efforts to retake the city of Mosul from the ISIS grip, within the offensive that was launched on October 2016, after the announcement of General Commander of Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi.
