6 Security elements killed, wounded in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) Five security elements were killed and wounded due to an Improvised Explosive Device explosion to the west of Tikrit.Security source reported to IraqiNews.com ”The IED, which was emplaced on a roadside, exploded targeting a joint security patrol to the west of Tikrit city.””The explosion of the IED resulted in killing three soldiers and a policeman while two other soldiers were wounded,” the source added.”The security forces attended the explosion scene and transported the dead bodies to the morgue, while the wounded soldiers were sent to a hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
